This is the first Rikulau built with Columbus tubing. Combination of Spirit for LUGs tubing in the main triangle and the delicate chromoly lugs by precision casting gave the frame a classic impression. Despite of image of elegance and sensibility, it is far from being a romantic decoration. Columbus Spirit is built with a special steel alloy with Niobium element. Its tensile strength is almost double the ordinary chromoly steel. To match with it, Rikulau 0ed premium grade seamless chromoly Nippon Steel of comparable strength to create a balanced frame. Rikulau Columbus Spirit LUG bike is not only romantic, but also practical. It is an elegant combat machine!

Columbus Spirit for Lugs
Spirit is the top of the line chromoly steel tubeset by Columbus – the Niobium series. Its special chemical composition and the addition of Niobium gave Spirit finer crystal grain and more homogeneous texture. With the special heat treatment process, Spirit was created with a tensile strength of over 1100 MPa, which is twice as much as an ordinary chromoly alloy.
Columbus Spirit enjoys the same prestige as Reynolds 853 in the highest level steel frame market. And Spirit for LUGs is the tubeset specifically extruded to fit the special needs of a lug frame.
